The Knowledge for Small Businesses


This course is designed to help small start up businesses. It will identify some of the many areas that need to be thought through, organised and planned before a business gets started.  The course can be customised for different sectors but was originally written for complimentary therapists.

At the end of the course the learner will be able to:
•    Identify the areas to be covered when setting up a business
•     Understand the skills needed to run a business
•    Know where to find expertise outside the business.

Stress Busting

We are all under stress in our daily lives. An amount of stress is good for us but too much is not. The workshop looks how to identify the things that stress us and deal
with it in different, fun ways. The workshop aims to give you a toolkit of techniques for reducing your own stress levels.

Areas covered include:
•    Identifying what stresses you
•    understanding what stress does to your body
•     possible lifestyle changes
•    how to “travel in your head”
•    some Qigong breathing exercises and  Kai men stretches
•     Emotional Freedom Technique

Learning Outcomes :
At the end of the course the learner will be able to:
•    Understand what their personal stressors are
•    Recognise how the body reacts to long term stress
•    Practice some techniques for managing stress.
